Hockey for Climate

About

In Spring 2022 ahead of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, a group of international hockey players came together with an aim to grow an athlete voice in hockey that can advocate for climate solutions across the sport. 


Their group, Hockey for Climate, wants to use hockey's influence across the world to make positive change for the planet. This supports the FIH's Hockey2024 strategy goal that "Hockey is a force for good in the world, as an advocate and contributor to the UN Sustainable Development Goals."

What's next

Over the next six months, Hockey for Climate will be developing a strategy aiming to make maximum climate impact in and through our sport. 


To make that difference, we want as many players as possible to join and feed their ideas into the strategy development.
